Musical Scene 7

*Curtains open

*Lights turn on, revealing scene 7

Setting: In a pub, two people sharing a table are seen in the center of the stage, one is covered by a white screen

Shadow: You are sure of this, Mytelo?

Mytelo: Yes, I’m sure! With the children so trained, they will make great allies in the future!

Shadow: What if the teachers teach them... other things?

Mytelo: Eh?

Shadow: This new girl, Ashaka, she’s in cahoots with that damn Feldin

Mytelo: I see, that’s not much of a problem

Shadow: How is it not a problem?

Mytelo: If Feldin does ANYTHING at all to hinder our plans, we have something to strike back with

Shadow: Which is?

*Mytelo snaps his fingers

*Two people come in, dragging a chained woman with them

Shadow: Mytelo, you sly dog!

Woman: Let go of me! You hear?

*Mytelo walks over to the woman

*Mytelo slaps her

Mytelo: Or what? You gonna scream?! It’s useless! You are nothing but bait!

*Woman spits at Mytelo’s face

*Mytelo wipes his face and spreads it on the woman’s face

Mytelo: Take her away

*The two men drag her off the stage

Shadow: So I see

*Mytelo walks back to the table

Mytelo: Yes, I have everything under control

*Curtains close

*The woman weakly runs onto the stage, panting

Voices: Where is she?!

*The woman moves her arms, as if casting a spell

Woman: Grew up in a small town
And when the rain would fall down
I'd just stare out my window
Dreaming of what could be
And if I'd end up happy
I would pray

*Woman stretches one arm upwards

Woman: Trying hard to reach out
But when I tried to speak out
Felt like no one could hear me
Wanted to belong here
But something felt so wrong here
So I prayed I could break away

*Woman spreads her arms outwards

Woman: I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway

*Bright light focuses on the woman

Woman: Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love
I'll take a risk
Take a chance
Make a change
And breakaway

*A soft gust will blow through the stage for effect

Woman: Wanna feel the warm breeze
Sleep under a palm tree
Feel the rush of the ocean
Get onboard a fast train
Travel on a jet plane, far away (I will)
And breakaway

*Two people enter the stage, from opposite sides

Lacky 1: Stay right there!

Lacky 2: We gotcha!

Woman: Stay back!

*Woman moves backwards slightly

Lacky 2: Just stay right there, and we’ll

Woman: You’ll what? Huh? Take me back to that, that, DEMON you call a master?

Lacky 1: No, we’ll, uh

Woman: I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly

*Woman stretches her arms and the chains break off

Woman: I'll do what it takes til' I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish
Take a chance

And breakaway

*Woman takes something from her pocket and holds it with both hands

*Lackeys edge closer

*Object in the woman’s hands emits strong red glow

*Lackeys are pushed back, and fall to the ground in shock

Woman: Out of the darkness and into the sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love

*Thick smoke rises around the woman, and she disappears

*Lights turn off
